The Purchase

Why and how did I become a caravan owner?

Whilst talking to Joanne about space that she required for her craft work I suggested buying a caravan or invest in another big shed where she could work and store her bits and bobs which was taking up a lot of space in our cupboards.

I was looking through some 2nd hand vans that were up for sale on Gumtree and one van in particular that was within our budget was on sale for £350 but the pictures that the seller had posted of the van didn't give it much hope it was badly needing a bit of TLC I didn't follow it up.

After around about 3 weeks of looking I noticed that the caravan that I was looking at was still on Gumtree but the price was reduced to £250 still to high however I decided to go and have a look at it.

The caravan was based in the Ibrox area of Glasgow so it was handy for me to go and view it after work, I arranged with the seller to view on the Tuesday evening and as I drove up towards the van I decided that the van was barley worth 50 quid never mind £250. I just decided there and then not to buy it and when I gt home I sent the seller a text message saying so that the van was over priced and it was only worth £50. To my amazement the seller said he would accept £50 so I decided there and then that I would uplift the van the following day.

Joanne thought I was mad and to a extent I agree with her.
